We helped Donald turn a bold idea into the Sustainable Campus Collaborative—a cross-Canada initiative now uniting 30+ campuses to accelerate energy efficiency and climate action through shared strategy and support.

Challenge

Donald had a vision: create a space where facilities leaders from post-secondary institutions could come together to accelerate campus sustainability. He imagined a collaborative network—rich in shared knowledge, support, and strategy—that could help institutions reduce energy costs, engage their communities, and make faster, more informed sustainability decisions.

But to bring that vision to life, he needed more than a great idea—he needed a brand that could rally others around it.

As the organization has grown and evolved, he also needed strategic frameworks to attract ongoing support and funding to sustain and expand the initiative's impact.

Solution

Donald partnered with us to build the Sustainable Campus Collaborative from the ground up in 2020.

Together, we developed the name, refined the mission, and created a brand identity rooted in connection and action.

To articulate the value of the Collaborative to potential partners and to reflect the brand, we created:

A clear brand voice, key messages, and positioning language
A professional logo and visual brand assets
A user-friendly website
A branded and customizable sales deck

In 2025, as the organization continued to grow, Donald returned to us for additional strategic support.

We developed:

A targeted magazine advertisement to raise awareness within the higher education sector
A comprehensive 14-page sponsorship package with tiered partnership levels, detailed ROI frameworks, and strategic engagement calendar to secure ongoing funding and partnerships
An automated testimonial collection strategy and system setup in Echo Growth Engine to systematically gather member feedback and success stories

Result

What started as one person's vision is now a growing national network. The Sustainable Campus Collaborative has launched with a clear identity and trusted presence in the campus sustainability space.

With 30+ post-secondary institutions already on board, the network continues to grow—helping facilities leaders make faster, smarter decisions to reduce emissions, lower costs, and build more sustainable campuses.

The strategic sponsorship and investment framework we developed has positioned the Collaborative for long-term growth and impact, with Donald securing over $100,000 in funding for the nonprofit in 2025 alone using the multi-tiered sponsorship package and partnership strategy we created.
